Explore the young Wendelbos woods via the blue route. This route connects to the Waterloopbos woods. The Wendelbos woods was first planted in 2005 with the aim of creating wet deciduous woodlands with poplars, willows and alders. The drier soil has been planted with oak, cherry and ash trees.
The route starts at the Waterloopbos visitor centre. Follow the blue arrows from there. The route is 9,4 kilometres but can be shortened to 5,4 kilometres at hub point 3.
Right next to the car park you will find The ProefLab//, a combination restaurant and visitors' centre of Natuurmonumenten. Step in here before or after your walk for some tasty treats and brochures about the area.
