The Noordoostpolder is beautiful all year round, but nothing beats the colourful spectacle that our tulip fields offer in April and May. Tulips as far as the eye can see. In every colour imaginable. If this is not yet on your bucket list, then you should make up for it now! Come and discover the car and cycle routes that will take you along the blooming tulip fields, the Tulip Picking Garden and the Tulip Experience Field from 13 April to 5 May 2024. New land on the bottom of the sea. Where the wind still blows as it always did. And where the water still has to be tamed every day. Built up centimetre by centimetre, there’s lots of daring and lust for life. You can feel it, it’s almost something you can touch in our vast nature, in our museums filled with stories/history, on our dykes that keep the mighty water at bay. This new land is more alive than ever.

In the Waterloopbos woods you can see and discover the strong bond that the Netherlands has with water. The most amazing waterworks were designed and tested here previously. You can also admire Land-Art: Deltawerk//.

For nine years in a row, The Orchideeën Hoeve has been described as the excursion that packs the most fun in Flevoland by the ANWB. There you can find tropical gardens, animals and the largest butterfly garden in Europe.
