The Noordoostpolder is a terrific place for discovery tours by bicycle, for example. Sometimes the wind is in your face, sometimes it is giving you a push in the back. But the paths are always flat and the vistas are panoramic.
Prefer to walk? There are fantastic walking routes available that lead you past stunning places. Through the Kuinderbos woods, for example, or around Museum Schokland. Prefer a dip in the water? We have beautiful beaches and recreational areas for swimming. With a little luck you’ll encounter a duck or coot while doing laps.

If you are looking for a less energetic pastime, then we can certainly recommend our museums, like the World Heritage Site Schokland. And have you been to the flat-roof village Nagele? This creation of the famous architect Gerrit Rietveld is still being maintained in its original form.
