The Tulip Festival, like previous years, will again be brightened up with tulip mosaics in 2025. Each village in the Northeast Polder will work with volunteers to create a beautiful artwork made of tulips.
The mosaic is placed in a prominent place in each village so that it can be admired on the road. The theme this year is Freedom (80 years); that theme is reflected in the various mosaics.

The hands can only really roll up their sleeves shortly before the Tulip Festival. After all; that is when the tulips are in bloom and the villages know what colour tulip is suitable. Nature also has to lend a hand; sometimes spring comes late and thus the flowering of tulips is also partly determined. With these freshly cut tulips, the mosaic can then be pricked and the design really comes to life.
With good reason, it may then be placed in a nice spot in the village, so that the many visitors can admire the artwork along the way.
